Calendar correction examples
These are generic examples based on formats I kept, not real appointment records. The dates are ordinary sample dates. Please do not look for a secret in them; there is not one, and the front desk has enough to do.
One appointment moved once
Easy enough: cross out the old slot, write the new one, initial it.
Old date / new date log
Better when the change needs to be understood later.
Common examples
| Example | What Ellen keeps |
|---|---|
| Weekly appointment shifted by one day | The old weekday, new weekday, and whether future entries stayed put. |
| Series partially changed | A note that only one occurrence moved, because otherwise the software looks cleaner than the desk work was. |
| Printout and paper book disagree | Both copies, with the time of the printout if known. |
| Duplicate appointment card | The newer card stapled or clipped with the old one until the change is confirmed. |
For a separate way to write these up, see repeated rescheduling notes.
