Reminder cards
Reminder cards were tiny promises made on card stock. They also became wrong the moment the appointment moved and nobody wrote a new one.
Two-up reminder card
3.5 x 2 in. Useful size, unless the time changed twice.
Card correction note
A separate log kept duplicate cards from multiplying in the drawer.
Card problems
- Small date boxes encouraged shorthand.
- New cards were cleaner than crossed-out cards, but created duplicates.
- Pencil helped until the card lived in a coat pocket.
- Sticker labels covered mistakes and sometimes the original time.
