Printed daily lists
The daily list was the working copy. The software might have been correct at 8:00, but the paper showed what happened after the phones started.
Useful list fields
| Field | Why it helped |
|---|---|
| Time | Obvious, but it needed enough space for a new time beside the old one. |
| Name | Had to be readable after highlighting and crossing out. |
| Phone note | Saved a second lookup during reminder calls. |
| Reason / type | Good when short, bad when abbreviations multiplied. |
| Initials | Important when two people corrected the same sheet. |
Printer margins mattered more than anyone admitted. A daily list with no right margin became a bad place to write call notes, which meant call notes migrated onto sticky notes, which meant someone eventually asked where the sticky note went.
