Repeated rescheduling notes

How do you document an appointment that keeps moving? Carefully, and preferably before the second sticky note falls off.

The useful record keeps the original appointment date, the replacement date, who changed it, and whether the rest of a recurring series stayed as it was. That is not deep. It is just the difference between a readable calendar and a desk argument.

QuestionWhat to preserve
Was it cancelled or moved?Use different words. A cancellation opens a slot; a move creates another date to check.
Did one date move or the series?Mark "this date only" or "future dates changed" before entering anything else.
Was a reminder card already written?Keep the old card until the new card is confirmed.
Does the printout disagree with the book?Write the print time on the sheet if the software cannot show it.
Have there been several changes?Use a small old-date / new-date list instead of rewriting the same square.

References for changed-date records

These are useful adjacent references for calendar formats, date handling, and preserving older scheduling material. They are not endorsements and they are not required reading before using a pencil.

My concern here is record readability. If the date moved twice, the page should say so without making the next person reconstruct the whole afternoon.
